This course, plus the associated groups that lead off of being a member, plus the additional interactions in the social media postings, have been by far the most useful as I have been navigating my journey to retirement. It’s nearly been 12 months since I joined the academy (Retirement Planning), it’s certainly been a very cost effective way to plan for my future in both planning and setting my retirement date.
The academy course and voyant has given me the confidence to make the leap and set my date to exit the workplace! I can know begin my world travel journey with the knowledge that we are financially set for the spring of my retirement journey.
I would certainly recommend the course to anyone who has a good understanding of what the need to live a comfortable retirement.
Following divorce my finances and retirement plans were in a total mess. I found meaningful academy as I was beginning to plan my transition to retirement, a few years before retirement. I had tried and failed to find an IFA who would work WITH me rather than just taking over and charging me a fortune. Meaningful academy was exactly what I needed to have the competence and the confidence to go it alone. Access to the voyant planning software was critical for me to be able to model my retirement and understand what would happen under various circumstances. The online training that Pete provides was what I needed to be sure that I was using the tool properly and building a resilient portfolio.
This course will probably save me around £200k in fees over my lifetime. It has given me greater insight into my financial situation, the tools to plan ahead with VoyantGo, and confidence to make the right decision on when to retire. It enabled me to get more involved with my finances than I did when they were managed for me. The course has given me the knowledge, training, and access to use VoyantGo in detail. I have spent days playing around with various forecast scenarios, and because I entered the figures, I know they are accurate without having to trust a third-party advisor. This is so much better than relying solely on a one-hour review meeting, once a year, with an advisor. I will now know exactly what I can afford to spend in retirement, and how to select the right investments to provide both growth and security. Cannot recommend the retirement planning course enough! Words are not enough for how much this course has helped me understand retirement planning. I have learned enough to have confidence to plan a good retirement without needing a financial advisor to manage my investments, and feel confident that I understand how much I can spend. When I initially completed the Retirement Planning course, it gave me the knowledge and conviction to take the decision to retire early. Subsequently it has enabled and empowered me to make financial decisions with confidence. The course is very well structured and taught in a way such that it is easily understandable. I learnt many new concepts which I never knew before, such as Cashflow Ladder. This course also enables you to join a community of like minded people and share knowledge and experience. This was the best money I have ever spent.
A very informative course – gave me lots to think about as i plan for my retrement. I changed my view on some things and the content helped me question my planning and evolve it. Voyant go is really interesting and worth playing with. I came a bit late to this course as I had already retired, Having watched quite a few YouTube videos including Meaningful Money I was hooked on Pete's style of delivery and keep it simple approach. Having made some decisions to take my tax free cash sum and get a five year annuity I still had another pot of money. I decided to invest in the Retirement Planning course. Should have done this much earlier. The benefit of hindsight is wonderful. But having done a first run through the course I'm confident that my decisions have been good so far. Yet to have a tinker with Voyant (not sure if I will gain any useful insights from doing so).
Bottom line. This is great course for building your knowledge. Money well spent. No regrets.

Just binged the foundations course and enjoyed every lesson. It came at just the right time too when I was arranging insurance. Excellent! Took me from complete beginner to someone who feels he has a good grasp of everything needed to get started and keep on moving forward towards retirement. It also provided a sound basis on which I can continue my research and learn more about the world of investing and pensions. Significantly, it also gave me important insights into the emotional aspects of approaching retirement. Pete's strength, I think, compared with others who create content is that he has the human touch and, for me, it has helped me position my investment and retirement strategy within the context of the life I would like to live; and not just be thinking about how much money I will need or have (important though this is!).

Have been a member of MM academy retirement planning since its inception in 2021. The course contents, access to the Voyant financial planning & cash flow forecasting tools plus regular positive forum discussions with like minded colleagues made the initial course fee and annual Voyant subscription a massively worthwhile investment. You really cannot get this level of financial education in any other manner for this kind of money. Fully recommend it to anyone thinking of joining.

Pete has put a lot of time and effort in building a step by step easy to navigate system to put us in control of our finances at different life stages. Each section can be used alone or can build on each other to build your knowledge. Money and finance can be very draughting and complicated, but Pete cuts through the jargon and applies his extensive knowledge to helping us take control of our future.
